Every day children of all ages in need of a safety zone are admitted Wichita Children's Home. Children do not understand why police have taken them from their home and separated them from their siblings. Teenagers do not know why their parents have kicked them out of the house.
What we understand is that in order for these children to have a chance to a secure future, it is up to us to help them and help their families get the resources they need for a new healthier and happier start at life. Volunteers play a vital role in assisting us in meeting these needs and providing children a warm, nurturing environment in which they can heal, learn and grow from their experiences.
